Greetings from
treVeld…! We continue to be
blessed with many wonderful happenings these days, such as the inclusion of
our music in a unique local film, more radio play, the launch of our
second recording project and many fun gigs…! ~ treVeld Website ~ |
The details... The film is being
produced by Paul Creager (local film maker, journalist, teacher and
musician) for the Washington County Historical Society in Stillwater
MN. Paul’s work is the honoring of an unfinished 8mm film
project that was started by the legendary John Runk, which Paul
has been commissioned to complete, guided by the spirit of Runk's
previous works. This film documents everyday life in Stillwater from the
1940's through the 1960's. Many of our Bohemian Flats CD tracks
will accompany the film’s sparse narration, presenting our music prominently
and exclusively. It’s scheduled for release in the Spring of 2010,
so we'll keep you posted regarding it's debut and other
possible treVeld performance dates connected to it's release. KFAI - Radio
Without Boundaries: Pam
K of the show Stone Soup has graciously added our Bohemian
Flats CD to her show's rotation, with other KFAI programs in the
works. We have finished
a demo recording of all 14 of the tunes we've composed for our second CD and
are now in the process of working on the production version. We will be
sending a shout out when it’s been completed and let you know about related
release events. We are about to
embark on a bit of a local mini-tour and so we're passing along our
schedule, which offers many opportunities for you to see and hear us
live in the following weeks (see events listed below). ~ treVeld News ~ |
Thank you Pam
of Fleurissima Design, for this wonderful unsolicited praise: When installing
wedding flowers at the artfully rustic Mill City Museum recently, we were
stopped in our tracks by the amazing band beginning to warm up. And so began
our love affair with treVeld, a group of string musicians whose musical
repertoire includes Gypsy, Swing, Celtic, Blues and Nordic Roots. Their music
is lush, playful, soulful and unforgettable. They are the band version of the
beautiful food scene in the movie Chocolat, in which Vianne serves a
sumptuous feast to celebrate Armande’s birthday-exquisite foods laced with
chocolate, an elegantly earthy outdoor setting with charmingly eclectic
guests blissed out by the whole experience. That is treVeld. They have that
rare quality of truly appealing to all ages. Cheers, Pam and the
