the Arts - An evening with treVeld - Chippewa
Falls Wisconsin Friday, November 30 • 7:30 - 9 pm Admission: adults
$7, seniors $6, youth $3 Chippewa Valley Cultural Association - 3 South High Street
• Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 Tel: 715-726-9000 We were
encouraged by a Wisconsin friend of treVeld to book a show at this beautiful
and historic theater in Chippewa Falls, which fortunately led to the
scheduling of this event. We'd enjoy the company of our MN friends, and hope
to spread the word to those unfamiliar with treVeld whom live in and around
the Chippewa Falls area. We're grateful to have received the support of Stephanie Elkins, host of Wisconsin
Public Radio's Simply Folk, who graciously added treVeld's music to the mix, as
well as giving this event a shout out on the show. Several people,
to whom we've mentioned this, have recommended taking a tour of the Leinenkugel Brewery while visiting Chippewa Falls,
which sounds like a great pre-show happening! Thank you Deb Johnson of the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association
and Ann Hansen for your support in bringing
this about. We're so looking forward to our Heyde debut! Groundhog Day Celebration! - Cannon River Winery Saturday, February 2 • 5 - 8 pm 421 Mill Street West • Cannon Falls,
MN 55009 Admission: No Cover Tel: 507-263-7400 Join
us for a celebration of this ancient tradition. If our furry friend's shadow
says Winter's not over, have some wine to chase away the doldrums. If the
oracle says Spring is upon us, have some wine to celebrate. It's a win(e) win(e) situation folks! Either way, be sure to drink responsibly and bring along a designated
driver. Who knows, perhaps Bill Murray will show up! Valentine's Day - Candlelight & Chocolate -

listening to live acoustic music by treVeld, strolling
the exhibits, and viewing our live raptors. Get romance advice from an

frequent weekend performances. Stop by for some great food, drink and good
treVeld vibes! Thanks to Patte, Mark and the awesome Erte staff for your long
standing support! We're grateful
for the opportunity to be performing more frequently at this wonderful venue
in Cannon Falls MN. The winery is a sweet space to hang out with friends,
enjoy a great selection of local wines and listen to music. To our great satisfaction, Mendoberri has
become another semi-regular venue for us. Enjoy delicious local, fresh, organic

MN Original Project Be sure to check
out MN Original on Twin Cities
Public Television. MN original cameras have been capturing the creative
process in arts studios for months, and will take viewers behind the scenes to
meet the elders and the emerging talents in all of the arts disciplines –
musicians, visual artists, poets, writers, dancers, filmmakers, architects
and designers - all of whom make up the vast array of creative talent living
and working in Minnesota. We're honored to
have our music included in this program's music library, which includes many
incredible local artists. The latest episode to include music by treVeld is
on artist Pamela Sukhum.
The tune Lullaby from our Bohemian Flats recording accompanies
a portion of this episode, which was nominated for an Emmy Award! Click here to watch this episode: MN Original - Pamela Sukhum Check
out our website's Video or News pages
to watch all of the MN Original / treVeld segments. ~ ~ ~ If
you like what you hear… we'd love your help in spreading the word
about treVeld. In addition to food
and drink venues, we also enjoy performing for concerts, festivals, weddings and
private events. We continue to meet wonderful people on our musical
adventures, many of whom have been incredibly supportive and encouraging. We
greatly appreciate that the majority of our performing schedule is manifest
via personal connections and referrals from those who like our music and tell
others. Thank you to the many that have already helped us along this path! If you're so
inspired, Facebook is a good place to connect with us. Email and telephone
are very much encouraged as well. Phone: Philip Rampi - 651-690-4138 With gratitude! |
We just got home a few minutes ago
after having an incredible supper and then two and a half hours of really extraordinary
live music. It turned out that the music tonight was offered by a group named
TreVeld (three plains). The trio of musicians present
entirely original music that they write and arrange themselves. Their instruments include, violin, cello, bass, mandolins, guitar, and
banjo, with two of the three men switching back and forth between various
instruments. Their eclectic style carries strong influences of Gypsy, Celtic
and various other folk genres together with a strong thread of classical skills
and style. The music is entirely acoustic and completely instrumental, no
singing. The pieces they played ranged from
delicate, ballad like songs where the violin sang soaring melodies to foot
stomping, get up and dance jigs and just about everything in between. The
music was highly lyrical, with achingly beautiful melody lines. It was also
often highly rhythmic with some of the instruments doing double duty as
percussion devices as well as providing musical notes. The skills of the three men who
make up the group were all equally astonishing. It was a total surprise for
us. There are not many neighborhood restaurants that front exceptionally good
live music. During their one real break, we ended up visiting with two of the
musicians who clearly were enjoying our enthusiastic response to their
performance. We had hoped for a short bit of
decent entertainment as a part of our little celebration this evening, but we
were bowled over by a genuinely excellent concert presented in a relaxed and
informal way that made it all the more accessible. Our meal was terrific, the
wine was excellent and the free entertainment was perfect. We both came home
kind of floating on a cloud of amazement at what we had just experienced. Louis Grams - musician & composer • Commenting on treVeld at Mendoberri Café & Wine Bar |
